I’m a working mother living in London with my husband, Mr H, and our 18 month old son, who for the purposes of this blog shall be known as A or wee man.  I grew up on a farm in the middle of nowhere which wasn’t as idyllic as it sounds but did give a certain rhythm and freedom to life.  My own mother was around most of the time when we were small and I never really imagined I’d be here in the city rushing to the station four days a week to make sure I’m home in time to collect wee man.  Right now however, as mad as it feels, it seems to be the rational thing to do.  It’s an endless marathon but we’re getting into a pattern and we’re just about making it work.  Sometimes.  Maybe.  The thing is, the marathon isn’t the bit that makes life worthwhile: it’s the little moments of creativity we share together in between that keep me going.  Painting together, playing with marbles, baking, learning to knit (me not wee man that is)…  It’s easy to get lost in the daily grind and this blog is intended as a way of refocusing on the happy little things that make me smile and hopefully sharing some ideas for creative family life in the process.
