Knitting in the garden

Yesterday I managed to snatch forty minutes in the garden on my own with my knitting and a cup of tea.  Knitting is a new thing for me.  I’ve always liked the idea but never got round to pursuing it.  However, at Christmas my grandmother and mother-in-law showed me the basics and, after a brief evening class at Sharp Works, I am now well on my way to completing my third project.  I suspect I may be a lifelong addict.  With life so busy it seems easier to justify a clearly useful creative activity.  I am not just enjoying the sunshine and letting my mind wander through rows of knit and purl.  No, I am making a little slipover for the wee man and he shall be warm and cosy and look lovely too.
